We spoke with Pinterest's Head of Partnerships about building creative campaigns and how companies can leverage Pinterest to inspire their audience.
Today and every day, it’s important to celebrate the diverse achievements of women everywhere and to continue raising awareness about gender imbalances and inequalities that exist in the tech industry. Females currently account for less than 20 percent of all technology jobs in the US and only seven percent of venture capital partners.
The question is, how do we address this? We’ve written about how digital skills and design thinking can make you a better leader, but what about becoming a leader in the first place? According to Kalsang Tanzin, Regional Manager, Mid Market at LinkedIn, women should be evaluating leadership opportunities around three pillars: purpose, potential, and people.
“Ask yourself, does this opportunity truly move me? Does it align with the values and goals I’ve set for myself? Will I be working with people who will help me grow? And the reason you want to do that is because the transition to leadership can be challenging, but leaders who have a sense of purpose – and who understand how this role reflects that purpose – are more likely to thrive and inspire others around them,” she said.
