What course are you enrolled in for this cohort and what made you decide to take it?

I am enrolled in the Product Management Course at the Brainstation Vancouver campus. As a creative person, I always have lots of ideas but sometimes they don’t get very far. I feel that the skills available via this course will be invaluable in helping me develop my ideas further and giving them a better chance of success in the marketplace.

How did you hear about the program?

I heard about Brainstation through some friends, and found this program by visiting the website. I then came to an information session at the Brainstation Vancouver campus, and I was sold based on the quality of the educators that were presenting at the information session.

What are you most excited to learn?

I am excited about learning the processes and techniques that allow you to develop an idea into something that is real and useable (aka a product). I feel like I will be able to leverage these skills well into the future.

If you had to pick a favourite tech company doing awesome things – who would it be and why?

Good question, there’s lots of amazing tech companies to choose from but I would say Picatic is great because they are growing and innovating in a space that first appears to be very competitive.

Favourite spot to spend an afternoon in the city?

David Lam park is a beautiful place to hangout on a sunny day. I also like heading to Granville Island Market sometimes if I’m looking for food.

How do you plan on applying your newfound skills, personally and/or professionally?

Right now I don’t have an exact plan, but I am looking forward to working hard and learning as much as I can. I know it’s a skill that is in high demand right now, so I know something good will come out of it.
