Now that you’re more than halfway through your course, what has been your favourite aspect of the course thus far?

The most valuable aspect of this course so far has been the hands-on approach to learning. Most of the concepts are presented with exercises which help us visualize the theory.

Can you tell us a bit about your final project?

My project is a website proposal for a client that I’ve been working with for six months. I think it’s an advantage to try new things and offer new services to a client who already trusts you and appreciates your work.

How do you see yourself applying your newfound skills to your current role?

I’m already applying what I’ve been learning to my work as a designer. I’m lucky to work in a company where I can try new things and put into practice everything that I’m learning.

What have you found to be the most rewarding? Most challenging?

The most challenging part is when the coding part gets intense. We’re taking an introduction to JavaScript to be able to use JQuery. And at the end of the day, it’s always great when you see even a little concept that you’ve been learning turn into something that works.

What are your goals for week 7 & 8?

I’m excited to start using JQuery and with that, explore the interactive possibilities as well the animation part of my project.
