As we all said our goodbyes last week, there was a buzz in the room. During the past 10 weeks we learned a whole lot and explored the world in a different light. Some of us were leaving the course having developed entire product strategies and plans for our current employers, while others had created an entirely new job for themselves with a product idea and business plan gift wrapped for them (and by them). I wasn’t expecting this Product Management course to pack such a mean entrepreneurial punch, but I’m thankful it did. It was inspiring, educational and eye-opening, to say the least.
In my final presentation, which I presented in our last class, I showed off my go to market strategy for a fitness product I developed throughout the course. At this point, I won’t be quitting my day job, but I’m sure the idea will keep nagging me for the foreseeable future and I’m not sure if this newly sparked keenness for the tech and entrepreneurial community in Toronto will disappear.
In the meantime, I’m looking forward to continue applying my new skills at work and share these learnings with my colleagues.
