Week 2 began with a recap of last week’s material followed by a quick run through of the take home challenge we were assigned. Dan, our instructor, wasted no time getting into the new material in what he claimed would be the biggest unit of the course. Building on last week’s introduction to HTML, we were introduced to the concept of attributes and stylesheets and shown how they can be used to further customize the appearance of HTML elements.
The structure in which the course is set up builds on the material covered from last week. It’s exciting to see things come together and actually making sense. All of the sudden I am beginning to see how letters and numbers jumbled together in lines of code are translated into the websites we look at everyday. It’s weird to say out loud (so I’ll just type it) but I feel like I am actually talking to my computer.
The class finished off with a new set of homework challenges and the task of beginning to think about what our final projects will be. Hmmmm… maybe I can just ask my computer what it wants to do…
